Sark
Description
Sark is a constitutional monarchy on an island in the English Channel.
Discussion
Until the turn of the second millennium, Sark was a feudal state, meaning government power was largely decentralised through authority figures in society.
In April 2008 the Sark Privy Council approved a constitutional amendment to introduce a more democratic government. The first general elections were held in December of that year.
Today, Sark has less than 1,000 residents.

Section 4: (1) Her Majesty's prerogative is unaffected by this Law.
(2) Except to the extent that their continued existence or exercise would be inconsistent with this Law, this Law does not affect - (a) any of the laws or customs of Sark; or (b) the powers, rights or duties of a person exercising public functions in relation to Sark.
